Press Conference to hold Fannie & Freddie accountable over predatory equity crisis! Thrs 8/12 11:30am 3rd & 50th
Wed, 08/11/2010 - 14:03 | by adminDear Allies,
Please come out to support Bronx Tenants in demanding that Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and the Feds take responsibility for their role in the Predatory Equity Crisis, for the harassment and displacement of hundreds of Bronx tenants! Tell these banks to right their wrongs to save our homes, NOW, before it’s too late! We’ve bailed them out, now they should bail us out! Help us tell them to create a protocol that prioritizes PEOPLE over PROFIT!
Please also help us spread the word about Thursday’s action to other Predatory Equity tenants, Tenant Coalitions and allies throughout the city!
Contact us with any questions. If you want to get a group together to attend the event, let us know!

Improving Public Education
Wed, 06/02/2010 - 19:27 | by admin| We engage parents, students, school staff and concerned community members to improve the quality of public education for all children in the Northwest Bronx community. |
Mission
Wed, 06/02/2010 - 17:24 | by adminThe members of the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC) seek social, economic, environmental, and racial justice for our families, our communities, and ourselves. We do this through community organizing that utilizes non-violent confrontation, negotiation, and principled compromise. We conduct our affairs with honesty, integrity, strength, and courage.
Our Organization
The Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition is celebrating thirty-five years in 2009 of broad-based, membership driven, social justice community organizing. We build power through relational organizing and issue campaigns that recruit and train individual and institutional members, energize institutions, win concrete victories that improve material conditions for community members, change public and private policies that affect the Northwest Bronx, and alter the relations of power.
